I write stories that include flawed characters, deep emotional challenges, sexy men, strong women, fun banter, quirky friends, and yes, definitely some steam. If you like bodyguards, billionaires, cinnamon rolls, or determined wounded warriors, there's something here for you.

(it really was the Hunger Games, right??)
Come to Oyster Bay May 16th & 17th for a weekend of authors, books, talks, and signings.
Admission is FREE!
I'll be in my big purple tent with two of my writing besties, Lauren Rico (After the Ocean, Familia, the Whiskey Sisters series) and Patty Blount (Some Boys, Send, Nobody Said It'd Be Easy).
Between us, we've got you covered for romance (both steamy and sweet), women's fiction, and YA.
Be sure to stop by and say hi, check out our books, and maybe grab a selfie or three. Can't wait to see you!

This is like the best kind of deja vu!
When I wrote this book, I knew it was special to me. But seeing it get all the love from these contests is like a dream come true.
People like my book. They really like it!
Thank you to NTRW and all of the judges who read and voted A Light in the Darkness their top read.

She's a single mom with a color-coded calendar and a reckless past she wishes everyone—especially her family—would forget. He's a tech genius who can write complex code but short-circuits around women.
Then one wrong number changes everything.

Is this a dream??
If so, I don't want to wake up!
Just the Way You Are has just been named a finalist in the prestigious HOLT Medallion contest. One of my other books, Never Let Me Go, was a finalist last year, and I thought that was the pinnacle. But seeing JTWYA on this year's list has me tearing up.
I'm so darn proud!

I am beyond ecstatic that A Light in the Darkness, the second book in the Wounded Warrior Legacy series, won the Long Contemporary category in the NJRW's Golden Leaf contest!
I am so proud of this book (and the entire series!), so seeing it recognized like this has me doing a major happy dance. Thank you NJRW!!!
Sheila Anderson has a knack for the sweeter things in life. Practically growing up in the family bakery, being a pastry chef is in her blood. When the opportunity to fill in at her dream job in the trendiest restaurant in Boulder falls in her lap, nothing will stop her from giving the audition of a lifetime. Not even the surly head chef with electric eyes who sets her nerves on fire with every scorching look.
Max Harper has worked his entire life to reach the pinnacle of his profession. He’s not about to risk his reputation, or the restaurant’s, because of some second-rate pâtissier with delusions of grandeur. All it takes is one bad review from a food critic to tank a career. It doesn’t matter that she makes his body come alive just by walking into a room. He needs her gone before she ruins everything he’s ever hoped to achieve.
As professional rivalry transforms into a simmering romance, these two strong-willed chefs will have to decide what’s most important to them: their ambitions or their hearts.
